Headingley Youth Music Festival returns for the eighth year running on Saturday 9th June. Held in the grounds of Shire Oak Primary School (with plenty of space indoors should the weather turn bad) this is a fun musical event for young people and their families. From 12-4 there will be live music on main stage from local, young performers, including a steel pan band, djembe drummers, a world premiere and a variety of soloists. Rock School will be running their very popular workshop, culminating in a headline performance. Other drop-in workshop opportunities include DJ skills and learn to play a variety of musical instruments. Storytellers will delight young and old alike whilst there are plenty of craft opportunities to enjoy and music making for tinies. There will be plenty to do with bouncy castles, an inflatable assault course, ice creams, stalls, dancing, football, food, drink and much more. We hope you can join us!
