This Event is 6 weekly workshops starting with the first workshop on 29th January.

(All the above classes will include a break for
refreshments).

Dance solo to all of the Latin rhythms (Partner optional).

Salsa is a popular fusion style of dance originating from South America, characterised by hip-swaying rhythms and fancy footwork. In these workshops we will start with the basics and work our way up, adding extra moves each week. We will look at technique, timing and style and learn some fun choreography to fantastic music along the way. The classes will culminate in a final dance session on Saturday 2nd March at 7.00 p.m. followed by a performance as part of the Headingley Music Festival where you can dance along with the band.

Please wear comfortable shoes.

The weekly classes will be £5.00/£4.00 members & concessions. (Pay on the door).

There will also be an extra class on the evening of the 2 March in the main Shire Oak Hall at HEART which will commence at 7.00 p.m.- 7.50 p. m. before the band plays at 8.15 p.m. Entrance is £8/£6 concessions which includes both the class and band.
